Many Asian/South Asian weddings are extended, elaborate affairs that often span a couple of days. They are generally filled with a lot of traditions and culture, which will stems from the truth that marriage is not merely about signing up two persons together yet also the blending of families. When the wedding procession gets to the groom’s house, the new tradition for him and his parents to welcome the bride using a “heng yuan” toast. This is certainly a special toast that signifies the wish for the couple to have happily and prosperously, as well for the reason that wishing them to be blessed with abundant kids.
